CHRISTMAS AND BOXING DAY.
The following arrangements are made for Christmas and Boxing Day, 25th and 26th inst:— ' ■"■"-'-' ■■ "'■■'■ ~ ' :■ ' - ■ Postal Branch— Monday will be observed as a close holiday ; however, supplementary mails will be made up at 8 a.m on that day, but on Tuesday will be open in all branches from 9 a.m to 10 a.m. On the evening of the 23rd all receivers and posting boxes will be cleared. Mails usually despatched on Monday will be closed on Saturday at 7 p.m. This will also apply to ship mails, and a delivery of town letters will be made over the counter between 7 and 8 p.m. Telegraph Branoh',— -Hours of attendance on Monday and Tuesday : morning, 9to 10 ; evening, 7 to 8. - The Telephone Exchange will open from 9 to 10 a.m on Monday, and as usual on Tuesday. Sub-offieea throughout the Distriot will observe a closo holiday on Monday, and will open from 9 to 10 a.m only on Boxing Day.
