Mbs M. Ti. Mobqan, Olifton, Aratapn, iuokJand, write©! — Dear Sir,— Some two yeara ago, haviDg previously enjoyed fairly good health, I waa taken. seriously ill, and found id- very diffiault to get relief. At first I treated myself ; thinking that I should soon be well again ; : bat my illness grew upon me, and I was completely prostrated, and unable to do anything. I sought medical advioe from our local doctor,, and he prescribed ipr me. My ailment was described as black jaundice and gall-etones, and at times I suffered much pain. Oar doctor's treatment did not do. me muoh good, as the attaoks were frequent and very severe. Some months passed, anl I felt that I was becoming hopelessly ill. My friends were ahooked at my sallow and' changed appearance, and more than one have told me since that the; never expeoted to see me well again. ; I went to Auokland for a change of air and scene, and to seek farther medical advice. I got it, and for a time, seemed to improve, the change evidently doing me good; bat it waß not tonic enough, for after a week or so I was again laid up. , All; the medical advice I got in Auokland seemed unavailing, and I returned home with very little to hope for, Here I suffered ae'vera!" attacks, and had to lay up repeatedly. ./My husband had a very poor opinion of patent medicines, but seeingClements Tonio advertised as of Bach wonderiaijeffects in' serious cases, and being quite at a loss to suggest any other untried remedy, he brought me home a bottle, and we determined \o'' try, it. ., At "the same time we resolved to sMy nothing of 'the medicine we were using uatil fully.flatisfied of -ics etfeots. . The fitai dose did megood,aDd I improved rapidly. Friends who iwdulanot §&ieCMen eurprised to hear of my deatb^werei really. astonished at my rapid recovery. I was soon satisaad as to ! the! value ,'of" Clements -Tonic,; \ and, gladly reoommeiidea it to others, r and so did my husband^ The storekeeper spoke to him one ; dayi and asked him if he had, beeh^reoommending Clement's Tonic, for he was.almpst abld out, and bad- only one, bottle^ left. "Give it;fo u me," : Baid my husband ;" l wouldn't be without it for apy thing." By the time I had taken one bottle I was able to get about my work again. .Friends thought the improvement only temporary, and expected to see me prostrated again, bat I am thankf alto Bay that' suohj haa not been the ease.! , Every dose did ..its work, and after a fortnight I only took one dose a day, in the aii* morning. I have osed "only three bottles, and have thefoqrth in £; the house. T/dpinpit take it regularly, but fly to ( it on the least symptom of anything being wrong, and I have many timesproved it to be a good preventive of returning sickneßß. It^ : is, now eight: or nine' 'months since : - ,-I ' reooyeried, and Clementa Tonio has" kept me in good health all. through* I oan ; again get t on with my hous^ and dairy oomforrand pleasure.
