A Man Missing — A welMmown individual generally known as •• Jimmy " Andrews, who for something like a quarter of a oentucy has followed the occupation of cabdriver in Nelson, has been missing since Sunday morning last. Till yesterday no uneasiness was oaused in consequence ot hi 3 absence from bis usual haunts, but some fears are now entertained. He was last Been on Sunday morning making his way towards the Ship Hotel, but the landlord says he did not enter his house, and from that timo no traces of him have been discovered. It ia thoaght possible, however, thai! be may have been driven into the country. Painful Accident at Collisgwood, — On Sunday last, a youth of about 17, a son of Mr M'Grane, of Go'lingwood, was standing behind a horse wben the animal kicked oat and atruok the unfortunate young fellow in the mouth, smashing the jaw and knocking hie teeth in. He was brought over to Nelson yesterday in the ss Lady Barkly, and taken to the hospital. Stodt 4nd the Govebnment. — The • Post,' of Monday, says: "The Premier states that the report that Sir Robert Stout was recently offered the Attorney-Generalship is not correct. No negotiations have been going on between the Government and Sir Robert. The position was offered to $i$ fiobevt when the Government was formed, but not since. Entertainment at Richmond. — An entertainment that should prove very attractive, will be given in the Oddfellows Hall, Richmond, this afternoon, and m the evening similar attractions will be offered. There are to be given a maypole dance, the fan song, Lubin Loo, etc, by the children, and Punch and Judy wijl be shown. Besides this, there will be a work stall aud other attractions. Visitors from town may leave by the two o'clock train, and return at ten o'clock. The proceeds will be devoted to the Richmond Presbyterian Organ Fund. College Spouts.— These annual sports will be held in the College grounds this afternoon, commencing at two p'clcok, and no doubt they will attract a large number of onlookers.
