ALL SAINTS' PARISH.
The annual meeting of the pa ighioner3 of All Saints' was held on July 21st in the Schoolroom, when" the Incumbent (the Bey F. W. Ohatterfcon) presided, and opened the meeting with prayer. Mr Firth read the minutes, whioh were confirmed. Mr Firth presented the statement of accounts, when several questions were asked, whioh waro satisfactorily answered. Mr Holloway moved the adoption of the statsmanr. He rjviewed at length the state of the Parish. The ordinary offertories (£296 7a 7d) showed an inorease'of £14 ; the special ditto (£sl lla 103) an inorease o! £28 ; pew rents (£l5B 15s) showed a falling off of £12 ; raised for General Church Fund £66 5s 4d, an inorease of £26 ; raised by the Ladies' Guild £40; the total increases as compared with what wa^ given by the parishioners the previous year amounted to over £100. The Gymnasium, which had attraoted a very large number of a young men, was a valuable and useful property, which had been acquired without cost to the Parish. Besides the amounts stated, £12 18s 9d was given to the Newfoundland fire relief fund. The work of the Parish had gone on smoothly and sfeadi'y. The Pariah had now properties worth ove i- £4 00->, on which there was only a debt of £434, tbia he thought was a highly satisfactory si ate of affairs. Seoonded by Mr .T. P. Coo&e, and carried. The Chairman said tha work of the year had shown solid and substantial progress. He acknowledgfd at length the valuab c services rendered by the Charoh officers, the ladie3, the Superintendents and teachers in the Sunday Schools, and the Choir. He Btated that be was prr tonally responsible for the debt on the Gymnasium. He said that it was eonsid red desirable to make a more (rr quant change in th 9 Church officers, ao as to bring m )re of the members into acquaintance with the inner work of the Ohuroh, consequently he had mv h pleasure in app.iintiflg Dr M»ckie as Minister's Churota' warden . On the motion of "mr Holloway, aeoonded by pr Hndson, Mr Preehaw waa ohoeen as the Parishioners' Churchwarden. On the motion rf M r preshaw, seosndecl by Mr Vosper, the following gentlemen were e'ected as Vestrymen Messrs R. Allan, Boor, Brown'ng, Burford, J. P. Cooke, H. ' dwarda, Firth, H. V. Gully, Holloway, and Hudson. D<- Hudson moved a vote of thanks to the lucambent, who had done hiß work so f*i hfully and zealously. He said it would be a g; eat bbw to the Parish, and a heavy loss to each of the -a if th-=y should lose the valued eervioes of their Incumbent. He hoped Mr Chatterton would be long spared to them and the Parish. Seconded by Mr Holloway, and carried. The Chairman thanVed them for their kindly expression*. Their sympathy and co-operation, with the blessing of God, had helped him to keep up with the work. He thanked them all for lightening his work as much as possible. Votes of thanks were accorded to the ladies —to the Superintendents (Messrs G. F. Smallbone and P.. I. Eingsley) and the teachers in the Sunday Schools— to Miss Hobden (organiet) and the Choir—to Misß Pilliet (for collecting)— to the Auditor (Mr Gaily - and to the Bellringers: The Benediction brought the meeting to a close.
