To the Editor of the Colonist* Sib,—At the meeting of householders on Thursday evening I etated that, while not wishing to impute motives to Mr HurHthoase, I had be6n informed that gentleman bad once wooed the electors and Mr Ladley w»B ohairman for him, and oae good turn deserved another. Mr Ladley has written me, that there is no foundation whatever for tha statement, and asking aie, in justioe to himself, to correct same. On receipt of his letter 1 saw my informant as soon ag possible, and then learnt that I was in error in using tha word " obairman," and that Mr Ladle* waa not " chairman " for Mr Harsthouse, bat " a very Btrong supporter 11 q\ that gentleman. -Yours, &0., Joes Low.
