Up to the present about lour hundred Beamen have left their vessels, and of this number two hundred have been arrested for wfariog doty and desertion. The vessels are gradually replacing the old crews with freih men and traffic is not being interfered with to any greatextent. The rouseabouis employed on Farella station, out welt, went on strike and prevented the shearers from working. A souffle ensued, during whioh several of the latter were injured. A strike at snob, an early period of the shearing season is causing apprehension. Adelaide, July 10. The new of the Adelaide Company's Inamuoka have been arrested for refusing doty. Melbotone, July 10. Three of the drew of the ss Moorkorwa were brutally assaulted last night, and one had five ribs broken. "— Later. The crew of the Oonah refused duty, and were paid off. Their places were filled at once, and the vessel sails to-night. J An attempt was made to interfere with the crew of the Wairarapa before she left for Auckland. On Thursday a special effort was made to induce the Monowai's crew to come out, but the men absolutely refused. : .
