Thb ordinary monthly meeting of the Board, at which all the members were present, was held on the sth inst. Mr Hurßthonfie was elected Chairman for : the ensuing year. For the supply of horses and tarts for a period of 6 months the tender of R. Goodman (7s and 9i per day for oart with one and two horaea respectively) was accepted. For day labor the tender of L. Franoois (5a pc; day) was accepted, F. Hawkins also tendering at sa. Resolved, That in the matter ot the appointment of a ranger, this Board is willing to act with the Biwaka Board, and is prepared to accept its. appointee to that office, the ranger to attend to both road districts. Resolved, That £3 worth of phosphorised wheat be, obtained from Mr J. Limmer for distribution in the distriot for the abatement of the email bird uaisanos. Cheques were signed for £23 19i 10s.
