LOSS OF A STEAMER.

A telegram received this afternoon from T.crlekbaok states that a quantity of wrepkage, Xnoluding a ship's wheel and pars marked Taramung, has been washed ashore. . From this U iB believed that the vessel of that name, tyiilch was a . screw steamer 128 tons, foundered during the heavy gales which have prevailed off -the coast daring the last few asyg. The Taramung was commanded by John Page, with whom were associated Peterson, chief officer, and Scott, second officer. In the engineroom were Ores, chief ergineer, McKenzie second, and Robinson third. The names of the oiew are Soott, Humphries, Larson, Tipper, Oaiins, Nesh, Siddle, Stevenson, Johnson, Crestock, Gilleepie, MoFarland, Hu*me, Anderson, Pollock, and Conne. The only paflgenger on board the ill-fated itfeamer Taramung was a idiss Moss, who wis returning to Melbourne owing to the death of her father. ; "" '*.' : The weather is still boisterous, add there is no sign ol it clearing up.
