Aug .st 6. The review of the British fleet at Spithead in honour of the visit of the Emperor William of Germany, :whioh' was postponed, on account cf the hurricane blowing on Saturday, was held oa Monday, and was in every way a: triumph of British naval prestige. One hundred and ten warships took part in the review; forming an unbroken fighting line extending along the Solent from Spithead for nearly fifteen miles, the array consisting of ironclads and torpedo beats, all in fighting trim. Twelve Germaa iron clads whioh accompanied tbe German . Imperial y. oh t Hohsnzollern which conveyed tha Kaiser William from Germany were anchored in close order off Spithead, the officers and crews on board watching the manoeuvres of the British fleet with'the liveliest interest. There was also a large assemblage belonging te the Boyal yacht club. Arrangements were made for tbe accommodation of members of the Ministry, of both chambers of the Imperial Legislature sb well as Colonial representatives and distinguished colonists on board one of Her Maj«_ty . vessels. The entire manseuvres wets carried out with success, and the Emperor William expressed mest eulogistic admiratioa. Her Majesty viewed the manoauvres from one of ber royal yaobts. Among the number af distinguished personages present ware Prince Heinrich, i younger brother of tke Emperor Wiiliata, Count Herbert Bismarck, the Marquis of i Salisbury and other members of the Impeiial Cabinet, The assemblage ot .spectator* was j enormous.
