THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.
(By Electric Telegraph.) . [FEOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDINT.] "Wellington, July 18. Reports are -current in the lobbies to-day that the Government have lately received another communication from the Agent-General relative to the Midland Eailway negotiations. It is understood that there is now every prospect of the contract being finally arranged upon something like the terms demanded by the Government.
