SHOOTING.
A match between teams representing the Naval Artillery, City Rifles and the Kifles at Wakapaaka was ;fir«d on March 17th. The former teams drovt cnt to Wakapaaka by ooaoh, and spent a very pleasant afternoon. The ranges were 200 and 400 yards, there being seven shots at each distance; the Nelson Rifles proved victorious. This sort of shoot* ing should be encouraged, and we hope that this is bet the first of a series of matches that will take place.
