BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The anniversary sermona of the above* named sofaool were preached on March 11 by the Pastor (Be? J. Standriog), that in the afternoon being a special address to tbe children. On eaoh occasion there was a good ■attendance. ' tea meeting took place on March ie? and it was numerously attended, SB Wftß aI«U tlie nttes inevtiug iv too Church. At the latter the Pastor (Eev J. S'andring), presided. Excellent and appropriate addresses were delivered' by the Itevx. ,W. C. Oliver and E. J. Williams. Beoitationg were given by a number of the soholars. One was a floral recitation, in which thirteeu scholars took part, and each had something to say about the flower exhibited to the audience. This was a very attractive itam in tbe proceedings. Mr J. Piper was chosen as judge pf the reoitations, and the following were his awards :— 1. E. Christian, 2. E. "White. John Webley (special)* Ida M'Artney (special); The children sang splendidly, and reflected much credit on the painstaking labors of their instructor (the Rev J. Btandring). There are 9 teachers and 84 scholars in the school, and the average attendance throughout the year was 64. The Bey J. Btandring is the Superintendent; Mr John Bobertson the Secretary; and Mr Walter Bliek the Treasurer. The usual votes of thanks brought tha highly succesaf al anniversary to a close.
