NELSON FIRE BRIGADE.
The 21st anniversary of the above Brigade took place at the Brigade room on Friday evening last, upon which occasion the election of officers took place fdr the ensuing twelve months. All the old officers were re-elected, and the greatest unanimity and good feeling Beemed to exist among the members. The following arc tbe officers for the year ensuing:—Captain': MrLightfoot; Ist Lieutenant Charles Bird ; 2nd Lieutenant, H. Winoset', senr.; Foreman No. ,1 Hose, T. Bowlings ; Foreman No. 2 Hose, C. Freeman ; Foreman Fire Company, J. K. Litile; Treasurer, J. M'Conkey ; Surgeon, Dr Coieman ; Secretary, Wai. Uooksey. Tha balance sheet, _ which showed a slight balance to credit, was read and adopted, and we were requested to call tha attention, of tho public to the commencement of another year, and the fact, therefore, subscriptions are due, of which they will personally receive notice "by the visit of the collector, Mr Darby, who has undertaken those duties for some years past. The reports from all tha late officers as to tho efficiency of the gear were highly satisfactory.
