WHICH OF THE THREE ?
To the Editor of the Colonist. Sib,—There are three candidates wooiDg the constituents for the Waimea-Picton seat. Mr Seymour belongs to a party who da not want to see large manufactories and industries Btarted in the Colony. Land—sheep-wool-is all thay want and care for. Mr Harkueaa and Mr Mills both belong to the Progressive party, and it 13 a great pity that they are both going to the poll, for it is giving Mr Seymour a chance to score a win. The platform utterances of Mr Harkness show him to be by far the most able man of the three. I should like to sea 1 Mr Harknesa elected for there are hopes of his becoming one of the leading men of New Zealand. He is a fluent speaker, and possesses a clear mind that can comprehend all the difficult financial questions ef the day, and he it a man of whom any constitnency might justly be proud to own as their member. If the electors do hot wish to see Mr Seymour sleeted, they mast secure every vote possible for Mr Harkness. Voting for Mr Mills means throwing votes away. Yours &a., Spectator.'
