MOTUEKA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board, at which were present Messrs Trewavia (chairman), Carter, Edwards, Herriek, Bum. bold, and Satherly, was held on Friday, July Ist; After the minutes of the previous meeting had bsen read and confirmed, it was Resolved, That Mr Trewavis be appointed cbairmau of the Domain Board, in the room of Mr W. Coppins, resigueil. Rasolved, That tha accounts presented be paid. Kssolve3, That Mr James Eginton's tender for caiting gravel to High street at 2s 9d per yard, and that of L. Francois and Co. for work on. road from Cacutt's corner to Chamberlain road at Is 9d per chain, aud thence to cross road ate Spieer's at .2a per chain, be accepted. Resolved, That Mr .Satherly be empowered to make arrangements for the filling of rut 3 from Oacutt's corner to Spicer's. Resolved, That broken metal be used in the. repairing of the Beach road; the work in High street, however, to t ike precedence of all others. j Resolved, That tenders be invited for the following works:—(l) Cracking stones'on the Pdh road: (2) The gravelling of Parker's lane from Wilkie's road to hotel, road; (3) Cracking stones and filling ruts from Smith's corner to the wharf; (4) For the making of a part of the Waiwero road near Parsons ; and (5) For day labor for six months. Resolved, That Stafford street be repair d after the completion of the work in High street and the Beach road; also, that Mr Edwards see to the performance of certain necessary repairs on Wildman'a roadResolved, That a new pipe be put iv and guard erected to bridge near Mrs Andrews'; also that the roadfrom Cacutt's corner tothd Maori, chapel, ■ the Swan road, and Mr W. Chamberlain's road be repaired, four twohorbe carts to be employed. Resolved, That a man be employed to clear roadside ditch and waterway under bridge near Mr Herrick's, and cut the overhanging manuka. Resolved, That Messrs Greenwood, Parkes, John Delaney, Reuben, C. Bay, and Joeiah, and Mrs A. Ray receive nosice to trim and lower their fences which shade the roads, and to grub up and remove any gorse, poplars, &c, which have spread from their property. Eesolved, That public notice be given of the Board's intention to levy at its next monthly meeting a rate of £d in the £ for the current year. Resolved, That Mr Low be communicated with re the obtaining of tide-way gravel by the Board. Cheques were signed for £59 3s, The meeting then adjourned till sth August next. '
