A BONUS of £25 is offered for the best Practical Scheme for the protection and reclamation of Ten acres of land on the Mudflat, Nelson, including plans and showing descriptions of Seawalls and Embankments, with quantity of filling in, if any, that may be deemed necessary, together with approximate estimates of cost. All Plane, &cs., must be sent in on or before Ist Augusi, 1885, and each competitor is requested to state whether he would be prepared to superintend the carrying out of his plan, and what remuneration he would require for doing so. Each plan will be submitted to the judgment of an Engineer of high standing, and the matter of cost will not be ignored Every competitor should affix a motto to his plan, and also send in a sealed envelope containing his name as well as the motto used.
