SHARE MARKET.

Messes B. C. Parker & Co. report as follows :—The past week has been marked by extreme dullness, and transactions are few but without very material alteration in quotation. The only stock for which there has been any lively demand are Bank of New Zealand and Few Zealand Insurance share*. The reports to hand from the Eeefton mining district are. of a very encouragiug nature, and we fully expect that ere long good businesj will be reported in stock in this district. From Mohikinui reefs the newi Btill continues good, but we have no transactions to report from either of these places. The news from our local copper mines is also of a moat favorable nature. From Wakamarina we hear that the contractor, Mr Gorrie, is making good progress with the works .at the Gorge Company's ground. Should the present fine weather last a few more weeks we hope to hear of some good results. We have not heard anything from the Homeward Boand Company, but thej should very shortly be in operation, and getting out gold. Nothing fresh from Colling wood, but it is confidently expected that the reef in Johnston's will Rhortly be touched in the present workings. There has been a slight enquiry for this stock, and some small transactions have taken place, a thing to be noted, as there has not been auy business done herein for a long time past.
