The 'Dunedin Herald of August 27th states: —Some extraordinary antics were indulged in by a female of the Salvation Army at yesterday afternoon's meeting in the Temperance Hall. A number of converts were on the platform giving testimony and when it came to the turn of the woman in question to address the audience she became very excited, and began to divest herself of her clothing. Not appreciating this conduct, some of those on the plaiform speedily removed her to tha ante-room, and «• Captain " explained to the gathering that the woman was subject to fits. A strange incident occurred recently .in Pearson County, North Carolina. A three-year-old child was . sitting on a stile, feeding chickens, when a large eagle swooped down on the chickens, scattering them iv all directions. As the child was moving off the eagle made a second swoop, catching the child, in its talona. With 'its,prey it,rose in the air, but the child was too heavy, and • the. eagle managed to flutter a short distance to the limb of a decayed oak.
