Yotr will be gratified to learn that Mr Hansen and party have been successful in tracing the reef, passing from Bedstead through Cole's Gaily. The stona iB said to be rich, and 15ft. in the face. Gold is apparent all through the stone. Mr Hansen has been for a long period prospecting in the neighborhood, and richly deserves tho success awarded to him. The fine weather lately has given the river boys a good opportunity for reaching tho precious, deposit; the men are working night and day, no time being lost. Ihe Bishop of Nelson has arrived here. His Lordship gave n lecture on the Roman catacombs, but, the attendance was meagre in the extreme. A party went to the Richmond Hill silver mine per Lady Barkly, accompanied.by Mr Masters. It ia hoped decided action will be taken' without delay.,
