An Interesting Couple.—At Christchureh, the other day a couple were, married whoae ages combined amounted to 148 year?. The bridegrom was aevontyfive years of age, and his " b.ushing" bride soventythree.
New Use for Flax.—A small quantity of prepared flax has been employod at Bulohuha, Otago, in caulking a punt, oakum not being obtainable. The experiment is laid to hare given satisfaction.
