CHAMPION PRIZE SHOOTING.
The contest of the Volunteers of Nelson for the Championship of tlie Province was completed on Tuesday last. The shooting was very especially that of Mr. Calley and Mr. Gully. We have space"only for the score, which is as follows :—

The New Goldfif/it) in Otago.—The latest Otago papera report the discovery of a new and rich goldficld in that Province, supposed to contain five miles of payable ground, near the Pomahaka. It is said that some of the gold is fine, some scaly, and some nice shotty gold. The depth of ground varies from 20 to 40 feet.
