COMING VISIT OF THE GOVERNOR TO NELSON.
We understand that it is the intention of Governor Sir George Grey to pay a visit to this province ; and in the course of a fortnight it is expected that his Excellency will arrive in Her Majesty's steamer Brisk. We presume his Honor the Acting Superintendent and his Executive will make some preparations for a proper reception of the Governor.
NELSON PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
" The vision, and the faculty divine." The verses are .not the mere rhyming which almost anyone with a little music in him and a tolerable command of language can at any time produce ; but they exhibit taste, feeling, descriptive power, that " touch of nature" which makes us love our kind, and joy in others' happiness. In humble sphere he is content to dwell, and pens his lays with labor's horny hand ; possessing merit which deserves more praise than this small tribute yields.
