Per Mary Francis from Newcastle : 340 tons coals, 100 bags maize, Edwards and Co. Per P.C.E. from Newcastle): 418 tons coals, Panama Company.

She had strong westerly Kales on the way up. She is very highly spoken of by the Melbourne press. The Ttinuialri was to leave on the 9th or 10th October, with goods and passengers for Hokitika and other New Zealand ports. No captain has yet been permanently appointed to the N.Z.N.S Go's s.s. Ladtbibd, which is for the time under the command of Mr. Chapman, the chief officer. The Haiolce's Bay Times says that Captain Yalentino, late of the brigantine Balmoral, has been missing for a week. It is feared that he is drowned. Ho had been drinking liard for some time. His ship has left Napier without him and gone to Hobart Town, where he had a wife and large family.
