Mr. Richmond moved—" That a Select Committee be appointed to consider and report on the question of amending the present Land Regulations, bo far as relates to Pastoral Licenses ; to consist of the Provincial Solicitor, Mr. Curtis, Mr. Parker, Mr. Hodgson, Mr. M'Rae, the Speaker, Mr. M'Mahon, Mr. Pollock, and Mr. Kingdon, and the mover." The hon. member supported his motion by showing the large quantity of land held in license by flockowners at a merely nominal rent. The quantity composed nearly half a million of acres for which only £600 of rent was obtained. Motion agreed to. SCAB IN SHEEP. The second reading of this bill was postponed. LICENSING BILL.
