ARRIVAL OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR.

(From the Wellington Advertiser, March 2.) Shoetlt after six o'clock yesterday morning H.M.S.S. Esk steamed into harbor with his Excellency the Governor on board. Shortly after seven Sir George Grey, accompanied by his Private Secretary, landed quietly at Brown's wharf, and proceeded at once to Government House. The Esk called off Patea, where his Excellency landed in the Gundagai, and had an interview with General Cameron. We believe it is not known how long the Governor may remain in Wellington—where he will proceed to when he does leave —or, in fact, anything whatever in connection with his contemplated movements.
