IN pursuance of the Provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulation of Electors Act, 1828," I, John Sharp, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Province of Nelson, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a WRIT, bearing date the Thirteenth day of February, 1862, ISSUED under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as SUPERINTENDENT for the said Province, and that the NOMINATION of Candidates will take place at the PROVINCIAL HALL, THIS DAY, FRIDAY, March 3rd, 1865, at NOON, and that the POLL (if necessary), will be taken on TUESDAY, the Twenty-first day of March, 1865. BY virtue of an Act of the Imperial Parliament, entitled "The Liverpool and London and Globe Insurance Company's Act, 1864," an amalgamation has taken place between The Liverpool and London Fieb and Lite Instoancb Company and The Globe Insubance Company. The name of the Liverpool and London Fire and Life Insurance Company is changed to that of THE LIVERPOOL AND LONDON AND GLOBE INSURANCE COMPANY, in which name the business of the Company will hereafter be conducted.
