Pbice ofFlotte &0., in Melbourne.— Melbourne l»t -st dates, via Ota»o, are to the 22nd instant. The Argus of tliat date gives the following commercial information:—" There are no signs of improvement apparent today in the import market, and operations have been extremely scanty. Holders of Adelaide Hour ask higher prices, and £25 for best qualities is now the current quotation. A parcel of second brands has changed hands at £24. For Chilian, ex Dominiquez Hermann, £21 10s., net cash, has been obtained; and fine Californian, ex Collingwood, we are informed, has been quitted at £23 10s but woare not aware on what terms; Country orders for all sorfs have come in very freely. In brandies and bottled beers a better feeling is manifested; and we nave heard of a large sale of ports and sherries, at full rates, for export. Kerosene oil, Cozzen's, has been sold at ss. 9d. 3000 boxes of candles have been placed *t outside market quotations. rAt auction, a quantity of tobacco, in tierces, has been disposed of at fair rates. Mauritius sugar, quitted by the same means, brought indifferent prices, quality considered."
