The House of Eepresentatives passed the Confiscation Bill by 82 to 24. By it the lands of the Confederates may be absolutely confiscated, and not merely for life, A Philadelphia paper says that the production of Petroleum will this year reach 500,000 barrels. y
The British Government have declared that the ship Tuscalooza was seized by the Federals, at the Cape of Good Hope, on insufficient grounds, and hex- release has been ordered.
DESTITUTION IN WESTERN ATJSTEALIA.
Great destitution is reported in Perth. The free laboring classes are endeavoring to realise upon what they possess, and to leave the place for the other colonies. # The "Western Australians intend to, memorialise the Imperial Government against the continuance of transportation.
