Horses to be named within a quarter of an hour after the race ior the Cheviot Cup, and to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. One* mile. The Fobced Handicap often per centum of the gross amount of money won, h ft; for the winner of any race, excepting the Great Nelson Trial Stakes, Cheviot Cup, and Consolation Plate ; open to any other horse by making a stake of 5 sots; h ft. Horses to ho named at the same time as for the Consolation Plato, and to be handicapped in the same manner. One mile and a-quarter. Regulations. No person not a subscriber of Two Guineas to the fund will be allowed to eater a, horse for any race, except Hack Races. Entries (excepting for the Handicap Plate, Maiden Plate, Consolation Plate, and Forced Handicap) to be made, and colow of the riders declared, under a sealed cover,, to the Secretary of the Turf Club, at the Trafalgar Hotel, at or before Six o'clock, on the evening of Friday, the 4th of March. A bell will ring for saddling, and another for starting ; not more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started. Horses to be at the post ior the first race on each day at Twelve o'clock.
