CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor of the Colonist.
Sib.—ln your last issue you have a paragraph purporting to be copied from the Otago Daily Times, wherein it is stated that Mr. Fitzgibbon, the Engineering Manager for this company, had " accepted an engagement under the Queensland Government to make preliminary surveys and estimates for a line of railway in that colony." I beg to inform you that this is not true, and that that gentleman will be in Nelson in a few days. : I am, &c, ROBERT POLLOCK. Secretary, Dun Mountain Copper Mining Company, Nelson, 20th July, 1863.
