In England, the utmost activity still prevails, in the dockyards and arsenals. The subject of National defences continue to occupy general attention, and the movement for the formation of volunteer rifle brigades, has extended_throughout the kingdom. Louis Kossutli has left England for the seat of war in Italy, hoping to avail himself of the pressure upon Austria, for the purpose of establishing the independence of Hungary. On the 3rd of June a fire broke out on board the 6hip Eastern Monarch, from Kurrachee to London, after her arrival from Spithead at London. All her troops and crew saved except five.
