Tub. Airedale Steamship.—The engineers attached to this vessel have already completed the necessary work in preparing the-engines for sea service. The screw has been placed in position and attached to the engines.- In accomplishing this they havivbeen asi i ted by Mr. C. Balme,: engineer, of thi. city, and ■•t'le rapidifcvwith which it lias been done, reflects the highest credit on all employed, they having.had to suffer from the effect of the eclipse on the tide, which, on that occasion, did not sink to its proper level by three foot. It ia expected that she will .steam,-to tha Albion Wharf this day to be in preparation for her journey to-Canterbury, as advertised to-imrrow.
