"IVTOTICE is hereby given, that, pursuant -^ to the 4th clause of the " Nelson Improvement Amendment Act, 1858," the ELECTION of Seven duly qualified persons to be the NELSON BOARD of WORKS, for the ensuing' year, will take place at a meeting to be held at the Court House, Nelson, on MONDAY, the 26th-day of July, 1858, at Twelve o'clock at noon. Every person who has paid the last rate levied by the present Board of Works will be entitled to vote and take part in the above meeting. In the event of a POLL being demanded by any candidate, or by three electors on his behalf, the POLLING will take place on the following day, commencing at noon, and closing at four o'clock p.m. By Order of the Board.
