NOTICES OF MOTION AND ORDER OF THE DAY FOR THIS DAY.
Mr. Mackay to move that the report of the select committee on the Survey Department be adopted. . . . Mr. Simmonds. to ask the Provincial Secretary if a petition has been received from certain inhabitants in Waimea South and Waimea West, praying for a road to bo made to enable a number of settlers in the beforenamed districts to obtain communication with the main line of road, and likewise1 to connect ihe districts in question ; and if it is the intention of Government to comply with the prayer of that petition. Mr. Baigent to move that the report of the Weights and Measures Committee be adopted. Dr. Renwick to move "that the Nelson Improvement Amendment Bill be read a third time.
Mr. Mjickay, to moye that the Council resolve itself into committee for the further consideration of the,Dg,n.,]\lountain Railway Bill. The Provincial Secretary to move that the Message; -Nq. 20 of his Honor the Superintendent, relating to .the Waste Lands Bill, be taken into consideration. Order op tiiu Day. Tile Provincial Secretary to move that the Council resolve itself into committee, for the further consideration of the Appropriation Bill.
