The columns of the Colonist will be open to the free discussion and elucidation of all questions on Political Economy Snd Social Reform, when written in a terriperafe andnon-personalspirit. ■ „, The Committee will endeavour to make the Coionist an excellent Advertising or Commercial medium. Subscriptions to be repaid by equal instalments withinone,' two, and three years. The Committee, in inviting co-operation, can assure the public that no means will be spared to render the columns of the Colonist instructive, useful, and worthy the patronage, of the Community. The first number of the Colonist will be published on Friday,-October 23rd, 1857,- and will continue to be published ev«y- Tuesday and Friday morning.
