It may not be uninteresting to many of our readers (particularly those who are from the West of England) to know that Mr. Labouchere, M.P., who has exerted himself so energetically in the House of Commons on behalf of the " New Zealand Loan Guarantee Bill" is one of the members for the Borough of Taunton, the county town for the Western Division of Somerset ; and during a space of twenty-seven years, viz:—from 1830 to 1857, he has been returned to represent that Borough no less than seventeen times! In every contested election he. has always been at the head of the poll.
