TASMANIA.
Launcestost, October 14th.—The prices of flour and wheat are gradually becoming firmer. Parcels of fine flour of first quality, cannot be purchased under 20Z., and the quotation at the Union Mill is 221. per ton. Until yesterday; wheat could be^p'urchased at from Bs. 2d. io'tisi; per bvitiel, but'on account -of the numerous
inquiries msde for large parcels for shipment, holders expect a considerable advance, and refuse to sell at 9s. Oats are almost wholly out of this market, the average price for small parcels is still Bs. Gd. to 9s. Bran continues in demand ,at Is. 10d: to 2s. per bushel. Potatoss are very scarce, and just now there ia a brisk demand for them. A bout 12 tors, part of the cargo of tho schooner Sisters, were sold at 14Z. per ton. Hobart Town, O^t. 12.—The'sugar market is bare, there being no stocks in first hands: second handi have but little, barely enough for present purposes. One or two vesssls are shortly expected from the Mauritius, but no diminution of the present advanced prices is anticipated at present.
