W.D.F.F. MEETING The October meeeting of the Te Rore branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Fanners was held at the residence of Mrs. Arthur Bell. The president, Mrs. Godfrey, opened the meeting with the Creed and Prayer, and conveyed sympathy to members who had suffered sickness and bereavement. A quiz session was organised, “A’ la Anne Fisher,” and resulted in the three contestants, Mesdame.s Edwards, Bell, and Park, finishing equal. Mrs. Roberts gave a most interesting talk on the elementary essentials of home nursing. Members readily expressed their appreciation for much valuable information, especially in relation to the treatment of burns and scalds. Alter the president had thanked Mr.s. Bell for her hospitality, afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Otton and Parsons. Competitions resulted as follows: Flower, Miss Robinson 1, Mrs. White 2; fruit, Mrs. Marx 1, Mrs. Coxhead 2; .shrubs, Mrs. White 1, Mrs. A. Bell 2; vegetables, Mrs. A. Bell 1, Mrs. Lambeth 2.
