Mr H. E. Schofield, L.L.8., of Matamata, has been elected president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Mr Schofield’s is the first occasion on which a member of a country Chamber has been given that high office.
The congratulations of the Te Awamutu Junior Chamber of Commerce and all other Chambers present at the Regional Convention held at Waitomo during this last weekend were placed on record for Mr H. E. Schofield of Matamata, who was elected president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce last week.
