HAMILTON STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports the weekly stock sale held at Hamilton yesterday there was another very large yarding of fat wethers. Heavy wethers were traded at values equal to last week’s rates. Prime hoggets were easier, while black face hoggets sold well up to last week’s quotations. Fat ewes maintained recent values while a small entry of spring lambs sold well. There was a full entry of ox beef, mostly of good quality. The market opened freely and continued firm throughout at values JOs in advance of last week. A small offering of cows and heifers was lacking in finish and with a quieter demand values were easier in this class. Veal, which was penned in small numbers met strong competition, resulting in values being much firmer. A medium yarding of fat pigs and a very large entry of store and weaner pigs was penned.
