ELECTION OF ONE MEMBER PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 12 of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925 (as amended), I hereby give notice that the following persons have been duly nominated for the office of member of the Kawa Drainage Board:— DANIELL, Maurice Charles HOPPING, Edward Francis KING, Herbert Pearcey And there being only ONE vacancy to be filled, a poll will be taken as between the said three Candidates on WEDNESDAY, 27th JULY, 1949, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., at the following polling places:— Te Kawa Public Hall.

TE AWAMUTU ELECTRIC POWER BOARD .

pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board, to be held at the Board’s office, Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu, on TUESDAY, the 19th day of JULY, 1949, at 10.30 a.m., there will be submitted for confirmation a Resolution by way of Special Order passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 21st day of June, 1949, raising a Special Loan of £2300 under Section 17 (b) of The Local Bodies’ Loan Act, 1926, for the purpose of paying off the portion still remaining unpaid of the Harapepe-Te Pahu Special Rating Area Loan, 1939, of £4OOO. Such Loan to be repayable - in ten years with interest at Bi per centum per annum and to be secured by a special rate of one penny in the pound on the ratable (unimproved) value of all ratable property in the Harapepe - Te Pahu Special Rating Area. A copy of the proposed Special Order is deposited at the office of the Board, and is open for the inspection of the public during office hours for 21 days immediately preceding the said 19th day of JULY, 1949.
