At last evening’s meeting of the Te Awamutu Chamber of Commerce, a letter from the Police Department, Wellington, stating that if suitable accommodation could be found in fe Awamutu an additional constable would be stationed in the town, was received and is to b*e acknowledged. “We will do our be«t to mee L the Department’s wishes,” commented a member, drily.
