WEDDING

KENNY—PASCOE A wedding of local interest especially to the Post Office staff, was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, on Saturday, 15th November, when Lillian Joyce, younger daughter of Mrs V. S. Pascoe, of Te Awamutu, and the late Mr B. Pascoe, of Waihi, was married to Ronald William, third son of Mr and Mrs M. Kenny, of Thames. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Colgan, and the organist was Mrs Knox Clark.

The bride made a charming picture as she entered the church escorted by her brother-in-law, Mr N. K. Bjerring, of Helensville. She wore a frock of ivory embossed silk crepe cut on classical lines featuring a heart-shaped neckline, the fitting bodice being buttoned from neck to low waistline with self-covered buttons. The full skirt formed a pointed train and the beautifully Embroidered net veil was worn with a topknot of ivory feathers. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and gladioli. The bridesmaid, Miss Kathleen Sheehan, of Te Aroha, wore a picture frock of apple green net relieved with tiny mauve flowers on yoke, sleeves and skirt. She wore a topknot of mauve and green feathers, apple green elbow length mittens and carried a shower bouquet of mauve stock and iris. The best man was Mr Colin Kenny, of Thames, the ushers being Mr Roy Enteer and Mr Ray Middlemiss of Wellington. As the bride left the church she was presented with good luck horseshoes by Miss Colleen Arthur and Master Campbell Fletcher. The reception was held at the Regent Lounge, the guests being received by the bride’s mother wearing a silk suit of navy and white with hat and accessories to tone and a shoulder spray of pink gerberas. The bride-

groom’s mother wore a navy ensemble with hat and accessories to tone, her shoulder spray being of pink carnations. The bride and groom left by car, the bride’s travelling suit was of delicate pink and blue floral I silk with hat to match and accessor(ies to tone. Their future home will I be at Whakatane.
