Price of Serpentine
Efforts made by Federated Farmers to bring the price of serpentine down to that of superphosphate have been unsuccessful. The Meat and Dairy Boards, to whom Federated farmers were referred by the Agricultural Department, have replied that the difference in price is due to differences in the cost of production. Neither board favours additional subsidies to equalise the prices.
