THE HUNT
WEEKLY MEET Light Horse enthusiasts had a busy week, one hunt being held at Pokuru on Wednesday with the Waikato hounds, and the usual weekly hunt on Saturday at Kihikihi on Messrs Wynyard and Alcock’s properties. The weather was ideal but the going a little too soft. After the hunt, afternoon tea was served at Mr Wynyard’s homestead- Members stood in silence for ono minute as a mark of respect to Mr and Mrs Alcock in their sad loss. Among those present were: The Master. Mi’ K. Jones on .Jolly Roger; the Field Master, Mr H. R. Clarke on King James; deputy Master, Mr A. Kay on Dante. Mrs Eric Storey on Glenconnell, Miss N. Storey on *Luckie, Miss V. Whitfield on Sun of the Soil, Miss J. Wyllie on Chum, Miss E. Grigg on Sheila, Anne Spraggs on Jimmy Quin, Alice Spraggs on Ranger, Olive Spraggs, Miss Flutey on Susette, Miss Joan Houghton on King James. Messrs A. Partridge on Dainty Jewel, J.
