DISCUSSION BY FARMERS
At the annual provincial conference of the Auckland province of th Farmers’ Union a resolution wa passed agreeing in principle with remit which urged that the ratifici tion of the Bretton Woods agreeme: insofar as it would take from tl Government the sovereign right control of the New Zealand moneta system, be opposed. During the discussion of this re mit considerable interest was di played by delegates. The opinion w expressed that the agreement wou give to the United States too mw power to interfere with the right the Dominion to control its o' finances and that it would endan r imperial trade.
