Association £5O; and the ' Waikato Lyceum Club £32. The junior Red Cross donations have amounted to £lB2. At first some difficulty was experienced in securing shipping space the right for the centre to ship its own goods but after the chairman, Mr A. E. Gibbons, and the secretary, Miss Edna House, had several interviews in Wellington with the overseas allotment committee the difficulties were satisfactorily overcome. The Wai-! kato now has its own allotment space I ia any shipping available and the goods are sent direct to Britain. The manufacturers, shipping agents, * Auckland Harbour Board and the | shipowners have been most helpful

and generous, and persons supporting the appeal have the satisfaction of knowing that all the money is being spent on food as transportation is free. The goods that are purchased and despatched are in conformity with the requirements and lists received from Britain. The following goods have already been purchased with the money and despatched: Honey, five tons; fat, six tons; oatmeal, 12 tons; malted milk, 30 cases; full-cream milk powder, 42 cases; barley sugar, 26 cases; meats, 118 cases; soap, 105 cases; jam, 57 cases; spaghetti, 12 cases; tomato puree, 15 cases; tomato sauce, 4 cases. Goods For Next Ship. With monthly shipping space assured the centre has ordered the folfoling goods to be despatched on the next ship: Honey, two tons; fat, four tons; jam, 28 cases; spaghetti, 24 cases; peas, 20 cases; tomato puree, 15 cases; tomato sauce, four cases; jellies, 15 cases; custard powder, 15 cases; barley sugar, 20 cases; soap, 130 cases; malted milk, 30 cases.
