Bobby Calf Trade
The bobby calf trade was discussed at length at the annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and it was agreed that the trade had a place in the economy of the country and had come to stay. Reports from societies indicated that the handling of bobby calves had improved considerably in recent years, but it was decided to make efforts to improve it still further. The Dominion executive of the federation was instructed to make the necessary representations.
