WOMEN’S DIVISION AUCKLAND ACTIVITIES Close association with the Women’s Division of the New’ Zealand Farmers’ Union (Auckland Province) is being maintained by the Auckland Provincial executive and at last meeting an application for accommodation in the provincial headquarters in Hobson Street to hold its monthly meeting was granted. The project formerly put forward for the establishment of a rest house in Auckland city for farmers’ wives was advanced a further .stage. The Divisional president, Mrs E. L. Dodd, sent particulars of a property in Mount Eden that appeared worthy of consideration and invited the executive to be present at an inspection that was being arranged. The provincial secretary, Mr A. T. Dow, had been instructed to attend. Captain Rush worth reported upon discussions that had taken place between himself and Mr A. E. Robinson and the Women’s Division officials in regard to the Government’s offer of financial assistance to the Division in the matter of housekeepers. Certain advice had been given them.
