ORAKAU TENNIS CLUB

TO FUNCTION AGAIN OFFICERS ELECTED i At a meeting held in Mr and Mrs A. E. Bryant’s home at Orakau it was decided to revive the Orakau Tennis Club, the decision being unanimously decided by the large attendance. It is hoped to get sufficient support for the Club to take part in club matches. The following officers were elected: President, Mr A. E. Bryant; vicepresident, Mr G. E. Raine; secretary and treasurer, Mr John McCormack; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr Cedric Bryant; captain, Mr Ted Lawry; assistant captain, Mr J. C. Peake; assistant lady captain, Mrs J. V. Bryant; committee, officers and Mesdames G. E. Raine and A. E. Bryant and Miss Thelma Colville. At the close of the meeting Mr and Mrs Bryant extended hospitality by dispensing supper.
